Rachel Caruana is a Maltese artist currently living and working in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Her most recent ongoing body of work features a collection of mixed- media paintings, some of which also feature a layer of Augmented Reality, combining traditional techniques and modern media. Her work explores aspects of surrender and delves into the enigmatic paradox that surrounds this concept; how it can embody both immense strength and delicate vulnerability. 

With each work she aims to capture the intricate dance between resilience and release, inviting viewers to contemplate the balance between control and letting go that defies our human experience. She uses movements of the human body for its ability to speak volumes without uttering a single syllable; a silent language that transcends words and aims to remind viewers of the power of non-verbal communication and the profound stories that our bodies can silently share with the world.
